Asharqia Chamber celebrates the graduation of 35 trainees from the Quality and the Effective maintenance programs
Asharqia Chamber represented by the small and medium-sized establishments development center celebrated the graduation of 35 trainees from two programs. The first program was titled “Quality control” and the second was titled “productive maintenance”. The Japanese small and medium-sized businesses Agency and the-the Saudi industrial property authority cooperated with the Chamber in organizing these programs. The ceremony took place in the chamber’s main office in Dammam.
The programs that were conducted by Japanese experts for two weeks discussed many aspects. Amongst the discussed topics were the essential ties between quality and maintenance. Regularly checking machines, productive lines, and the preparations are crucial to ensure any product’s quality. The program has reviewed the essence of factories management, quality control, success stories for operations that improved due to quality control measures, the international quality standards, and applied examples to rise the work quality.
The program studied daily for seven hours actual production, quality and maintenance issues. These three aspects intersect. Thus, it was essential to study them all. The program discussed the possibility of retrieving a larger database, to achieve a better projects and active diagnoses for the machines, manufacturing process as well as products quality. The quality tools and means would facilitate this process.
These programs were the result of the cooperation between Asharqia Chamber, the Japanese small and medium-sized businesses Agency and the Saudi industrial property authority. They aim at supporting and developing the small and medium sized establishments in Saudi and benefit from the Japanese experience.
